The app still has poor UX and a flow
The Adidas confirmed app determines that you must be in the zone to signup for releases. The zone is in the city of a release. In this case its NYC. Instead of asking me where I am adidas uses the geotagging of my phone or geolocation. This is poorly conceived. I work in New York 5 days a week and only live in jersey on the weekends and weeknights. Uhm hello Adidas? I seriously have to scratch my head at whoever is coming up with the user flow for the confirmed app. A UX lead or director actually approved this? Did you also consider all of the adidas customers that might be on vacation during this release or are commuting in from PA or CT for work during the week? You had a chance to give them a reason to visit the adidas store when they come to NYC since they had such a great experience on the confirmed app but instead you say "no, no cake for you". I dont bash adidas on the sheer creativeness of their kicks but the logo and branding design teams and UX teams are not up to snuff. Sorry. I do this for a living and this would have never gotten by me and a senior team. Ive actually written about the confirmed app in a past blog post. The UX is horrible and so is most of the UI and design elements.
